"Gonna do this Frostburg, Maryland Style... That Means Good"
What else can mean good? Nate Myers and the Aces live, that's what.
One of the best live acts I've seen in recent memory, Nate Myers leads the Aces and their loyal fans to Frostburg, Maryland for an excellent run-through of some of their best work. Breaking out immediately with the harp-heavy "Diamonds at Her Feet", Nate Myers sets the pace for what seemingly has become their niche; groovy blues tunes with a very catchy beat that anyone with a sense of rhythm would find their foot tapping, at the very least.
Some of Nate's tunes from "Persist" make their appearances, such as bar-favorite "Jager and Waffles", "When Are You Coming Home", and "Beauty All Around", but the Aces really hit their stride around the middle of the show, starting with the classic Johnny Cash and "One Piece at a Time". Then, in one of Nate's absolute best, "Rise Above It", in which he invokes the name of Frostburg and informs everyone that if someone else is talkin' about them, at least they are talkin' about someone important for a change. Then, to close off the triad of spectacularity, a Curtis Mayfield cover, to make sure that at the very least, everyone is getting sex on a regular basis.
Superb quality for a bootleg show, Nate Myers and the Aces put on a great show in Frostburg, Maryland, and is highly recommended for anyone who has seen them, as I have, and anyone who's looking for a great live show that has sensational replay value. You can't go wrong with Nate Myers and the Aces live.
